Obesity Study for Type 2 Diabetics

Previously tried to lose weight but struggled to do so? This research study is investigating how effective the study treatment is at promoting weight loss

What is the trial about?

Around 63% of the UK’s adult population are considered to be overweight or obese (Source: UK Government). Obesity is a growing global health crisis and can lead to numerous health issues in the future, such as cardiovascular disease and hypertension.

For those with Type 2 Diabetes, management of weight loss can be particularly important.

Diabetic? Previously tried to lose weight through diet or exercise and struggled? This research study could be of interest to you.

We’re investigating a weight loss treatment in those patients who are living with overweight or obesity and who have type 2 diabetes.

Who can participate in the trial?

This study is open to anyone over the age of 18 who:

- Has previously unsuccessfully tried to lose weight through a change in diet or through exercise

- Has a BMI of 27 or over

- Has a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes

What is the study process?

Your participation in this study will last for just under two years and will involve receiving the study treatment once a month for around 18 months.

Your participation will also involve regular visits to our clinic throughout the course of the study

What can you expect as compensation?

All participants will be paid back for reasonable out of pocket expenses including travel, meals, childcare, accommodation and inconvenience due to taking part in the study
